Note: This list was originally titled “Top 10 Saturday Morning Cartoons of the 80s,” but many of our readers pointed out that most markets showed several of these on weekday afternoons. Thank you to those who helped set us straight!
Every 80s kid remembers waking up early Saturday mornings or rushing home from school just to spend hours in front of poorly-written, low-budget, horribly-acted cartoons that were, quite simply, the greatest television on earth. The cartoons of the 80s and 90s were designed for one purpose only – to sell breakfast cereal and action figures.
