He Turned Tragedy into Beautiful Art

French photographer, Gregory Herpe, carried his camera through “Liberté, Égalité & Fraternité,” a public demonstration of support for both the victims of the Charlie Hebdo massacre and the attack on free speech that the attack represented. What he captured will, no doubt, become historic icons. An estimated 3.5 million or more people turned out for the event in Paris, France.

The common message is “Je Suis Charlie.” It means “We are Charlie.”
